Cooking Fresh Lobster




Ever wonder how the restaurants serve up such delicious lobster dinners? They use fresh, live lobsters, that's how. You can too, by following this simple recipe.

4 Live Lobsters

Bring water in a large pot that's half way full to a boil. Place the 4 live lobsters in the water. When water returns to a boil, continue cooking. The length of the cooking time will depend on the weight of the lobster: Aproximately 18 minutes for a lobster that weighs 2 lbs.. For each addition 1 lb., add an additional three minutes cooking time. For smaller lobsters, cook for about 15 minutes. Carefully remove from water and place lobsters on a serving plate. Serve with melted butter on the side, if desired.
