Old Time Popcorn Balls




Make up a batch of Popcorn Balls for your next Halloween Party or give them out to the trick or treaters. This old time favorite halloween treat is always a big hit!

Ingredients

1/2cup Molasses
1/2 cup Corn syrup
1 1/2 cubes (3/4 cup) Butter
Salt
8 cups Popped popcorn (measure after popping)


Cook molasses with corn syrup until thermometer reaches hard cand stage, about 270 degrees. Stir in butter and salt.

Have the popcorn in a bowl. Slowly stir in the mixture with a wooden spoon. Coat all the popcorn.

Butter your hands lightly and shape the popcorn into balls. Make the popcorn balls the size you want. Set them on wax paper and let them harden. Wrap the popcorn ball eat with wax paper, twisting the ends.

Makes 6 servings
